Applications of this concrete testing machine
Concrete compression testing machines determine the characteristic compressive strength of specimens and are the heart of every materials laboratory. With 2000 kN it reliably covers strength classes up to C80/95 and handles the majority of cube and cylinder tests in construction and materials labs.
Specimens follow EN 12390-1 (shape and dimensions): cubes 15 × 15 × 15 cm or cylinders Ø 15 × 30 cm. The loading rate per EN 12390-3 is typically 0.6 ± 0.2 MPa/s. With flexural and split-tension fixtures, beams per EN 12390-5 and cylinders per EN 12390-6 can also be tested.
