Applications of this concrete testing machine
Concrete compression testing machines determine the characteristic compressive strength of specimens and are the heart of every materials laboratory. They are used for incoming control of fresh-concrete deliveries, for on-site quality control during construction, and for research on new mix designs.
With 5000 kN of force, this press covers all common concrete strength classes up to C100/115 (UHPC).
Specimens follow EN 12390-1 (shape and dimensions): cubes 15 × 15 × 15 cm or cylinders Ø 15 × 30 cm. The loading rate per EN 12390-3 is typically 0.6 ± 0.2 MPa/s. With flexural and split-tension fixtures, beams per EN 12390-5 and cylinders per EN 12390-6 can also be tested.
Typical users in Switzerland: ready-mix concrete plants, construction companies with in-house quality control, university labs (ETH, EPFL, HSLU, BFH) and accredited testing institutes.
SPC Suisse handles on-site installation, initial calibration with traceable certificate, and operator training.
Manufactured by UTEST Material Testing Equipment in Ankara, one of the world's largest manufacturers of construction-materials testing equipment, supplying more than 130 countries.
